HP Pavilion dv6-3055dx Review

HP Pavilion dv6-3055dx

The HP Pavilion dv6-3055dx is one of those laptops that looks like it should be exceptional, but turns out to be fairly average. A 15.6-inch thin-and-light, the 3055dx has an attractive design, a large keyboard, built-in Webcam, and multitouch touch pad, and is powered by a top-end AMD quad-core processor and 6GB of memory. Plus, it has a whopping 640GB hard drive.
The good: Large hard drive; fingerprint reader; attractive.

The bad: Average performance for its high-end components; short battery life for its class; jumpy touch pad; poorly located quick-launch buttons.

The bottom line: Be it for home, school, or the office, the HP Pavilion dv6-3055dx is a decent mainstream laptop with a few issues that keep it from being as good in reality as it is on paper.
